The healing power of "Adelheidquelle" was discovered by the monks of Benediktbeuern. The specialist clinic, which in the meantime enjoys an excellent reputation all over Germany, was opened in 1988. The gem of the small spa place is the "Parkvilla", in which the health and spa-treatment centre has been operated by the specialist clinic since 1997. The local authority attaches great importance to the quietness of the village. The parish church St. Kilian built in 1726, which is richly decorated with stucco, is well worth a visit. There is well developed network of paths and trails for the guests to use; spa concerts, lectures, theatre plays and folklore evenings are organised frequently.
