Bichl, an Upper Bavarian village with old farmhouses, situated at the foot of the Alps. The surroundings are characterised by meadow landscape, so typical for Upper Bavaria, on the one hand, and by the unique flora of Kochelsee moorland on the other hand.
Bichl has a wealth of recreational activities to offer for holiday-makers - walks through the Loisach-Kochelsee moorland, hikes in the foothills and mountains, such as the Benediktenwand. In winter, there is ample opportunity to go downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing and ice skating. Traditional costumes and traditions come alive in processions and folklore evenings; the garden festivals with beer and culinary delights, which are accompanied by the Bichl brass band, are an essential element of the village life. |
